Use when conversion rate is low and you suspect the ad and the page are promising different things.
ad-to-page-message-match-audit.md
Act as a paid media auditor. Compare an ad against the page it points to and find the mismatches.
Ad copy: {{AD_COPY}}
Keywords in the ad group: {{KEYWORDS}}
Landing page copy (paste the visible text above the fold and the first two sections): {{PAGE_COPY}}
The conversion I want: {{CONVERSION_ACTION}}
Produce a table with columns: Element, What the ad promises, What the page delivers, Match (strong / partial / broken), Fix.
Cover at minimum: main promise, offer or price, audience named, urgency or timing, CTA wording, proof, and the keyword itself.
Then:
1. Rank the broken matches by likely impact on conversion rate, highest first, and say what evidence in the copy makes you rank it there.
2. Rewrite only the single worst mismatch, giving the fixed ad line and the fixed page line side by side.
3. List anything the page claims that the ad does not, which might be worth promoting into the ad.
Rules:
- Judge only from the text supplied. Do not assume design, images or page speed.
- If the page text is too short to judge an element, say "not visible in supplied text" instead of guessing.
- No em dashes in anything you write.
Replace each placeholder with your own detail. The more specific you are, the less the model invents.
