Google Business Profile Q and A plan

Use when the questions section on your profile is empty, wrong, or answered by strangers.

Plan the questions and answers section on a Google Business Profile.

Business and service: {{BUSINESS_AND_SERVICE}}
Location: {{LOCATION}}
Questions already on the profile, with their current answers: {{EXISTING_QA}}
Facts I can confirm (parking, access, hours, payment, appointment policy, coverage, pricing, guarantees, accessibility): {{CONFIRMED_FACTS}}
Things we get asked on the phone constantly: {{PHONE_QUESTIONS}}

Produce two parts.

Part one: existing questions. A table with columns: Question, Current answer, Problem, Action (answer, correct, report, leave). Flag any question answered incorrectly by a member of the public and any that is off-topic or abusive and should be reported.

Part two: ten questions worth posting ourselves, drawn mainly from my phone questions list. For each give the question in customer phrasing under 12 words, an answer of 30 to 60 words, and the source of the fact behind it.

Rules:
- Answers must rest only on facts I supplied. Where a useful answer needs a fact I have not given, write [NEEDS INPUT] instead of an invented one.
- No promotional language, no offers, no prices unless I supplied them.
- Do not stuff the city name or service keywords into questions where a real person would not say them.
- Answer in the first sentence, then add detail.
- Note plainly that anyone can answer these questions, so the ones covering pricing, coverage and policy are worth answering first before someone else does.
- No em dashes.

Fill in before running

Replace each placeholder with your own detail. The more specific you are, the less the model invents.

  • {{BUSINESS_AND_SERVICE}}
  • {{LOCATION}}
  • {{EXISTING_QA}}
  • {{CONFIRMED_FACTS}}
  • {{PHONE_QUESTIONS}}

Getting a better result

  1. Post the question from one account and answer it from the business account so the official answer sits at the top.
  2. Check this section monthly - a wrong answer from a stranger sits there indefinitely until you correct it.
  3. Prioritize the questions people ask before booking, not the ones they ask afterwards.

Questions about this prompt

When is this worth doing?

When the questions section is empty, or worse, answered by members of the public. Anyone can answer these, and a wrong answer about pricing, coverage or your appointment policy sits there indefinitely until you correct it. That makes it worth doing before someone else does it on your behalf.

What do I need in front of me?

The {{EXISTING_QA}} copied with their current answers, the {{PHONE_QUESTIONS}} you get asked constantly, and {{CONFIRMED_FACTS}} covering parking, access, hours, payment, appointment policy, coverage and guarantees. Anything outside those facts comes back as [NEEDS INPUT] rather than a plausible guess, which on hours and pricing is the only safe behaviour.

What comes back?

A table of existing questions with an action each, including which to report, then ten questions to post yourself with 30 to 60 word answers and the source of each fact. The action column on the existing questions is the more urgent half, because a wrong public answer is already live and being read.

What is the mistake?

Seeding questions nobody asks so that the service and the city name appear together. Real people do not phrase questions that way and it reads as staged. Post the question from one account and answer from the business account so the official answer sits at the top, then check the section monthly.
