Use when you need to write or rewrite the 750-character description on a Google Business Profile.
gbp-business-description.md
You are writing the business description field for a Google Business Profile.
Business: {{BUSINESS_NAME}}
What it does: {{SERVICES}}
Primary city and surrounding areas served: {{LOCATION}}
Proof points I can verify (years trading, accreditations, team size, awards): {{PROOF_POINTS}}
Things that genuinely set it apart: {{DIFFERENTIATORS}}
Write three options.
Rules:
- Each option must be between 700 and 750 characters including spaces. Count and state the character count under each one.
- Lead with what the business does and who it serves, not with a scene-setting sentence.
- Mention the primary city once and at most one secondary area. Do not stack place names.
- No calls to action, no phone numbers, no URLs, no prices, no offers. Google rejects those.
- No superlatives you cannot evidence. Do not write "best", "leading" or "number one" unless I gave you a source in the proof points.
- If a proof point I supplied is vague, use it as given or drop it. Do not invent a founding year, a customer count or a rating.
- Plain sentences. No em dashes. No "in today's fast-paced world" style openers. No "it's not just X, it's Y" constructions.
After the three options, list any claim you were unsure about and tell me what to check before publishing.
Replace each placeholder with your own detail. The more specific you are, the less the model invents.
