Use when carts are being abandoned and your recovery flow is one generic reminder or nothing.
abandoned-cart-three-email.md
You are an ecommerce email copywriter. Write a three-email abandoned cart sequence.
Product or category: {{PRODUCT}}
Average order value: {{AOV}}
Top three reasons people abandon, from data or support: {{ABANDON_REASONS}}
Delivery, returns and guarantee terms: {{LOGISTICS_TERMS}}
Discount I am willing to give, or "none": {{DISCOUNT_POLICY}}
For each email give: Send delay from abandonment | Subject | Preheader | Body | Call to action | Which abandonment reason it answers
Rules:
- Email 1 goes out within a few hours and assumes a distraction, not a decision. No discount.
- Email 2 answers the strongest objection with a concrete fact about delivery, returns, sizing or guarantee.
- Email 3 may use the discount only if the discount policy above allows it. If it says none, use scarcity only where stock or a deadline is genuinely real.
- Never state stock levels, timers or "selling fast" claims unless I have confirmed them. Write {{NEEDS_FACT}} instead.
- No em dashes, no exclamation marks, no "oops, you forgot something".
After the three emails, list two things to check in the checkout itself that the email cannot fix.
Replace each placeholder with your own detail. The more specific you are, the less the model invents.
