AI Answer Readiness Check

Find out whether an AI assistant can quote your page - and what is stopping it.

What it checks

  • Looks for JSON-LD structured data anywhere in the page.
  • Counts H2 to H4 headings phrased as questions: ending in a question mark, or starting with words such as what, how, why or can.
  • Checks for lists or tables, which give assistants self-contained pieces to quote.
  • Counts the words of body text, leaving out scripts, navigation and the footer, and flags pages under 300 words.
  • Confirms the page has a meta description and is not marked noindex.
  • Scores the page as the share of these six checks it passes.

Reading the result

Each check is worth about a sixth of the score, so the percentage counts passes; it does not measure how close the page is to being cited. Work from the list of failed checks rather than the number.

Fix indexing first: a noindex page cannot be found and cited through search. Then length, since a thin page rarely holds an answer worth quoting. After that, rewrite one or two H2s as questions your buyers ask, answer each in the first sentence below it, and add structured data.

Passing all six removes common obstacles to being quoted; it does not guarantee citations. Assistants also weigh accuracy, freshness and how your page compares with other sources. To see whether they actually recommend you, AI Visibility in a QuQi crew tracks the questions your buyers ask.

Questions

What does GEO mean?

Generative engine optimization: preparing pages so AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers can find, understand and quote them. It builds on SEO rather than replacing it.

Does the question-heading check work for pages in other languages?

Partly. The question words it looks for are English, so headings in other languages count only when they end with ?.

Why does my page pass the lists check without lists in the content?

The check looks at the whole HTML, so a navigation menu built as a list counts. Look at your main content yourself: if the answer sits in long paragraphs, add a short list or table.

Is this a full SEO audit?

No. It covers six signals linked to being quoted, on one page. Titles, canonicals, speed and links are outside it; the Meta Tag Checker covers the head tags.
