QuQi vs Descript: start from a recording, or from your site
Descript is the stronger tool for speech-led video and podcasts: you cut by editing words, clean the sound in a click and let Underlord take the busywork. QuQi needs no recording. It makes short films from your website and belongs to a crew that publishes articles to your CMS, posts every day and works on your SEO.
- You record a podcast, webinar or tutorial most weeks.
- You want to edit a video by editing its words.
- Your team records remote guests and edits together.
- You have no recordings and still want a weekly video.
- You want articles published to your CMS, not drafts to copy.
- You want posts on nine channels, not only YouTube.

What each one costs
Descript prices each person on two meters, media minutes and AI credits, which reset every month without rolling over, and top-ups come with Creator and Business. QuQi prices each website, with one balance of credits for the whole crew and team seats in the plan; unused plan credits carry over for a month.

Using Descript and QuQi together
Descript and QuQi can share a content week. Record and cut the podcast or tutorial in Descript, and keep its show notes for the episode page. QuQi’s crew fills the days in between with a product film, a picture post on every channel and two articles.
To post a Descript clip, export it and give it to QuQi’s chat with the words you want and a time. It goes to the channels you choose, Instagram and LinkedIn included, so the export no longer stops at YouTube.

QuQi vs Descript: common questions
Is QuQi cheaper than Descript?
They count different things. Descript bills each person for media minutes and AI credits. QuQi bills each website, and one balance covers films, posts, articles and SEO, with seats for your team. The pricing section lays the listed plans of both next to each other.
Does Descript have AI avatars?
Yes: a gallery of more than 35 avatars, plus avatars made from a photo or a text prompt, and voice clones of your own voice. QuQi’s Video Producer casts AI presenters with lip sync for a film that needs a person, but not with your own face yet.
Can Descript publish to WordPress?
Not as a blog post. Its publishing targets are video and podcast hosts such as Wistia, Buzzsprout and Transistor, plus YouTube and HubSpot. QuQi publishes articles to WordPress through its plugin or an application password, and to Shopify, Webflow, Ghost and Notion.
Does Descript work with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Its API and MCP server, in early access for paying users, let Claude or ChatGPT ask Underlord for edits that draw on your credits. QuQi also has an MCP server and a REST API, so the same assistants can write posts, publish articles or apply page fixes for your website.
Does Descript have a mobile app?
Its download page lists desktop apps for Mac and Windows and a web editor, and no phone app. QuQi runs in the browser, and its crew also answers on Telegram, WhatsApp and voice calls.
