A Canva alternative that designs each post from your website
Canva is a design editor with millions of templates, one place for social, video, decks and print, and AI output you can still move by hand. QuQi has no canvas. It builds each post’s picture or carousel from the fonts, logo and colours on your site, writes a caption for every channel and posts it on a calendar.
Why people look for an alternative to Canva
Canva’s own pricing page and the alternatives lists explain most of the reasons people look further.
A blank design every week
Even with a template, someone picks the format, places the photo, sets the words and writes the caption, then does it all again next week. One of the newer alternatives lists is aimed at people who want that first draft made for them.
Templates other brands use too
With so many people working from one template library, designs can start to look alike. That complaint comes up on Reddit and in competitors’ roundups.
A price per person
Pro covers one person, and a team moves to Business, which charges for each member. Heavy AI use can call for the AI Pass add-on on top.
What QuQi does instead
With QuQi there is no canvas to fill: the weekly design and posting work goes to the crew.
Writes a post every day, worded for each channel, sends it with a picture or a carousel of up to 10 slides made for it, and publishes it on time.
Makes one short video a week, with a voice, music, stock footage and, for a shop, the products it sells, ready to post from the Studio library.
Writes SEO articles with a cover, section pictures and screenshots of real pages, and publishes them to your CMS.
Runs 56 checks across the site every Monday, the social preview tags included, and hands the fixes to Page Optimizer.
Canva and QuQi, side by side
QuQi’s column is for a paid plan. The free plan audits and analyses the website, and publishing starts on a paid plan.
Canva’s details were checked on October 18, 2026 on its own pages: canva.com/pricing, canva.com/help/content-planner, canva.com/help/mcp-agent-setup, canva.com/features/ai-video-generator, canva.dev/docs . When Canva is the better pick
QuQi is not the answer to everything Canva does. Stay with it, or use both, if this sounds like you.
- You want to design by hand, with 3.6M+ templates and a large premium stock library.
- You make decks, documents, print, websites and video as well as posts, and want one editor for all of it.
- You want to design from inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot through Canva’s AI connector.
Moving from Canva to QuQi
- 01
Your website is the brand kit
QuQi loads your fonts from your website’s own CSS and takes a transparent logo and your colours from your pages, so there is no Brand Kit to rebuild. A logo you upload by hand is kept.
- 02
Pick a shape for each channel
Connect your channels, then choose in Settings → Social whether a post’s picture stays the same everywhere, sits on a blurred background, or is laid out again for each channel’s shape.
- 03
Keep Canva for hand-made work
Leave launches, print, decks and anything you want to place yourself in Canva. Let the crew take the daily posts for a month, then decide what each tool should keep.

Canva alternative: common questions
Is there a free Canva alternative?
Canva’s own Free plan is generous for designing by hand. QuQi’s free plan does a different job: it audits and analyses your website, and the pictures and posting start on a paid plan.
Can I edit QuQi’s pictures by hand?
Not on a canvas. You ask for changes in words, in the chat or the Studio, and for 2 days after a piece is made an edit charges only for what changed. You can also download the file from the Studio library and finish it in an editor such as Canva.
Does QuQi use my brand fonts and colours?
Yes. It reads the fonts from your website’s CSS, takes a transparent logo from your site when it has one, and keeps to your brand colours even when a request names others. The text is placed by code, so letters and numbers come out right.
Can QuQi make carousels for Instagram and LinkedIn?
Yes. A carousel has 2 to 10 slides, 6 by default: a cover, a run of slides in one style and a closing card with your logo. For LinkedIn, QuQi turns the slides into a swipeable PDF document.
