An Ideogram alternative that finishes the post and sends it
Ideogram is known for readable text inside generated images, with Studio for layered edits, plus an API and an MCP server for builders. QuQi reaches clean lettering another way: it sets the words in your website’s fonts by code, lays out the picture or carousel in your logo and colours, then posts it on the crew’s calendar.
Why people look for an alternative to Ideogram
People who search for an Ideogram alternative tend to want one of three things, and Ideogram’s own plan pages and guides describe each of them.
A public free tier
The Free plan gives 30 credits a week, and everything made on it is public. Private images and upscales need a paid plan, and edits with reference images always spend priority credits, even once you are in the slow queue.
Text is strongest in English
Ideogram’s own guide says lettering is most accurate in English, that accents and non-Latin scripts can come out wrong, and that long passages are better added in a design tool. For a brand that posts in another language, or with longer copy, that matters.
A finished image is not yet a post
Ideogram has no scheduling or social posting, and its Publish button shares to its own community gallery. Someone still writes the captions and posts each image to each network.
What QuQi does instead
Each of those needs lands with a QuQi teammate who works from your website and on its own schedule.
Sends out a post each day on every connected channel, worded for each one, with a picture or carousel whose words are typeset in your brand’s fonts.
Turns your website into a short video each week, with a voice in your audience’s language, music, stock footage and, for a shop, its own products, ready for Reels, TikTok or YouTube.
Writes articles in your website’s language, with a cover and section pictures, and publishes them to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Ghost or Notion.
Rewrites the titles, descriptions and social preview tags your pages show in search and when shared, then puts them live through QuQi Edge with an undo, or gives them to you ready to paste.
Ideogram and QuQi, side by side
QuQi’s column is for a paid plan. The free plan audits and analyses the website, and publishing starts on a paid plan.

When Ideogram is the better pick
QuQi is not the answer to everything Ideogram does. Stay with it, or use both, if this sounds like you.
- You want a model that renders lettering inside the image, with JSON prompts that place each element and fix exact hex colours.
- You build on an API with fixed prices per image, or want open weights you can host yourself under its licence.
- You want to train a custom model on your own images and share it across a team.
Moving from Ideogram to QuQi
- 01
No prompts to carry over
QuQi needs no style codes or prompt library. It reads your colours, logo and fonts from the website when you add it, and you can upload a logo by hand if you would rather use another one.
- 02
Connect channels, pick a quality
Link your social accounts, then choose Standard, Normal or High quality for pictures in Settings → Images. Each option says what a picture usually costs in credits.
- 03
Keep Ideogram where it shines
Use Ideogram for posters, product mockups or anything you build on its API, and give the daily posts to Social Copywriter. After a few weeks, see which of the two you still open by hand.

Ideogram alternative: common questions
Is there a free Ideogram alternative?
QuQi’s free plan audits and analyses your website, and its pictures and posting begin on a paid plan. Ideogram’s own Free plan gives 30 credits a week when you sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, and what you make on it is public.
Does QuQi put text on images as well as Ideogram?
They get there in different ways. Ideogram’s model draws the letters and is trained to draw them well. QuQi never lets a model draw them: the words are typeset in your website’s fonts by code, so each letter on the picture is the one that was written.
Can I edit QuQi’s pictures in layers, as in Ideogram Studio?
No, QuQi has no canvas. You ask for changes in words, in the chat or on the piece in QuQi’s own Studio, and within 2 days of a piece being made an edit pays only for the part that changed. The file downloads from the library if you want to open it in another editor.
Can I use Ideogram and QuQi together?
Yes. An image you make in Ideogram can be dropped into QuQi’s chat and posted with your caption. If you work in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, both have MCP servers, so one assistant can reach Ideogram for an image and QuQi for your posts and SEO.
