QuQi vs Submagic: captions on your footage, or films from your site
Submagic is the stronger tool when you film yourself: it gives a short its captions, cuts and B-roll in a click and posts it to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts. QuQi makes films and pictures from your website without any footage, and its crew also writes articles, posts every day and looks after your SEO.
- You record talking-head videos every week.
- You want captions that look styled and animated.
- You want to edit and post from one screen.
- You have products to show and nothing filmed.

What each one costs
Submagic sells plans by how many videos you make a month and how long each may run, priced per member, with long-video clipping as an add-on and API minutes sold in packs. QuQi’s price is set per website, and one balance of credits pays for films, posts, articles and SEO, with unused plan credits carried into the next month.

Using Submagic and QuQi together
Submagic and QuQi fit a business where someone films now and then. Keep Submagic for those recordings: the captions, the cuts and the post to TikTok or Reels. Video Producer covers the weeks with nothing filmed, using your products and your website, and Social Copywriter keeps a picture post going out each day.

QuQi vs Submagic: common questions
Is QuQi cheaper than Submagic?
That depends on what you need done. Submagic charges per member for a number of edited videos each month, and long-video clipping costs extra. QuQi bills each website on its own plan, and one balance covers films, daily posts, articles and SEO. Each side’s listed plans, as read on 18 October 2026, are in the pricing section on this page.
Can Submagic make videos without filming?
Partly. AI Actor Studio has a stock avatar read a script you type, and AI images and B-roll can fill a project. Its core is editing what you upload. QuQi’s Video Producer makes the whole film from your website, products included.
Does Submagic have an API or MCP server?
Both. The API creates projects, captions and Magic Clips, with webhooks and minute packs, and the MCP server lets Claude, Claude Code or Cursor create projects, make clips and publish with your key. QuQi has a REST API, webhooks and an MCP server for its crew’s work.
Which suits an agency with many clients?
Submagic’s Business plan connects 3 profiles per platform, and a Custom plan sets its own limits. QuQi bills each client website separately, and agencies can get their own name, logo and email on it, granted by QuQi per account.
