QuQi vs Runway: make the footage, or get the film

Runway is the stronger tool for footage, with its own frontier model, many others, precise edits and professional finishing. QuQi makes short finished films from your website, as one teammate in a crew that also writes articles, posts every day and fixes pages. Pick by whether you want to direct each shot or have the week’s videos made for you.

Choose Runway if
  • You direct each shot and want the newest video models.
  • You edit real footage and finish in HDR or ProRes.
  • You run paid ads and want them made and tested in a loop.
Choose QuQi if
  • You want a finished film each week without directing it.
  • You want your real products and fonts in every video.
  • You want posts, articles and SEO on the same plan.

What each one costs

Runway sells plans per account and a Team plan per seat, each with monthly credits that its models spend by the second, and Enterprise has custom pricing. Its API runs on credits of its own. QuQi sells one plan per website, with a single balance of credits for the whole crew and unused plan credits carried into the next month.

Where Runway is stronger

  • Footage generation: Gen-4.5 plus Kling, Veo, Seedance, Wan and other models in one workspace.
  • Editing real clips with Aleph 2.0: change one element and the change carries through the shot.
  • Professional finishing: 4K upscaling, HDR, ProRes export and plugins for Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
  • A paid-ads loop in Runway Ads that publishes, reads the results and makes the next round, in an Enterprise pilot.

Where QuQi is stronger

  • Films that begin with your website and keep your real products, type, colours and logo.
  • Words on screen that are always spelled right, because they are set in code and never generated.
  • Daily organic posts on nine channels, each with a picture or carousel of its own.
  • SEO audits, page fixes, articles and AI search checks from the same crew and one balance of credits.

Using Runway and QuQi together

Runway and QuQi sit at two ends of the same week. Direct the launch film, the hero shot or the paid ad in Runway, where every frame is yours to shape, and let Video Producer turn out the steady short films about your products in between.

When a Runway piece is done, drop it into QuQi’s chat and choose the channels. It goes out beside the crew’s daily posts, and Copywriter can write the article it points to.

QuQi vs Runway: common questions

Is QuQi cheaper than Runway?

They measure different things. Runway charges for credits that each second of generated video spends, per account or per seat. QuQi charges per website, and that balance covers films, posts, articles and SEO work alike. The pricing section above lists both as published today.

Which one makes more realistic video?

Runway, for generated footage: Gen-4.5 and the other models it runs are built for that. QuQi relies on your real product photos and stock footage instead, which keeps what you sell exact, and uses at most one generated clip a film.

Can I run Runway from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes, through its MCP server, which also works with Grok Bot, Cursor and Replit and bills your app credits. QuQi has an MCP server too, so the same assistants can ask its crew for a post, an article or an audit.

Can Runway make videos with a presenter?

Its apps add dialogue and lip sync, and its API offers Characters, real-time avatars you can talk to. QuQi casts fictional presenters with AI and syncs their lips to the voice, but cannot use your own face yet.

Do I need video skills to use QuQi?

No. You describe what you want in words, or let the weekly job choose, and Video Producer plans, makes and checks the film. Runway rewards people who like to direct, try prompts and cut on a timeline.
