Bundle and kit positioning

Use when you are selling several products together and need copy that justifies the bundle, not just the discount.

Write positioning and copy for a bundle sold by {{BRAND_NAME}}.

Bundle contents and individual prices:
{{BUNDLE_CONTENTS_WITH_PRICES}}
Bundle price: {{BUNDLE_PRICE}}
Who it is for: {{TARGET_BUYER}}
Why these items go together: {{RATIONALE}}

Produce:
1. THREE POSITIONING ANGLES, each in one sentence, ranked by how well they hold up without the discount. For each say what evidence would prove it works.
2. Bundle name options - 5, under 5 words each.
3. Product page copy - 120 to 160 words using the top ranked angle.
4. VALUE TABLE - Item | Bought alone | In the bundle | What it does for the buyer. Include a total row. Calculate the saving from the prices given and show the arithmetic.
5. Three objections a buyer will have, with a one line answer each.

Rules:
- Do not make the discount the lead argument in the page copy.
- Do not claim a saving figure you have not calculated from the supplied prices. If a price is missing, say so.
- Do not include an item in the value table that is not in the contents list.
- No em dashes. No fake scarcity.

Fill in before running

Replace each placeholder with your own detail. The more specific you are, the less the model invents.

  • {{BRAND_NAME}}

  • {{BUNDLE_PRICE}}
  • {{TARGET_BUYER}}
  • {{RATIONALE}}

Getting a better result

  1. If the top angle only works because of the discount, the bundle is wrong, not the copy.
  2. Check the arithmetic yourself. A saving figure that does not match the basket is a chargeback waiting to happen.
  3. Use the objections list to decide what goes above the add to basket button.

Questions about this prompt

When is this better than simply discounting the items?

When the bundle needs a reason to exist beyond the saving. If price is the only argument, a straight discount does the same job with less copy and less risk. Use this for kits where the items genuinely work together and the page has to say why before it mentions money.

What do I need to know about the bundle first?

Every item with its individual price, the bundle price, the target buyer and why these items go together. The individual prices are what the value table arithmetic runs on, so a missing one means the saving cannot be calculated. The rationale is what separates a kit from a shelf of unrelated stock.

What comes back, and what does the ranking tell me?

Three positioning angles ranked by how well each holds without the discount, five name options, page copy on the top angle, a value table showing its arithmetic, and three objections. Whether a bundle page should lead on the saving is argued both ways; the ranking at least shows you if price is your only argument.

What is the number I have to check myself?

Taking the saving figure on trust. Check it against what the basket actually charges, because a published saving that does not match at checkout becomes a dispute rather than a typo. Read the objections list before you finish the layout, too: it tells you what belongs above the add to basket button.
