A D-ID alternative for short brand videos and the posts around them
D-ID is the platform to pick when a talking face is the point: photo and video avatars, expressive V4 presenters, Video Translate and live avatars that answer questions on your site. QuQi’s Video Producer works from your website instead. It plans each short film with your products, stock clips, narration and music, and the crew posts it to your channels.
Why people look for an alternative to D-ID
Three needs come up in D-ID alternatives roundups and in reviews. D-ID’s own pricing page backs the first and the third.
Minutes that rise with the tier
Lite, Pro and Advanced each come in three tiers, and the minutes you get each month grow with the price. On those plans one pool of minutes covers videos, agents, translation and the API. The lowest paid plan puts a D-ID watermark on the output and is for personal use.
More than one face on screen
D-ID is built around an avatar talking to the camera. Several roundups look for scenes around the speaker instead: product shots, footage, motion and a layout that follows the brand.
A seat for each colleague
Team collaboration and SSO come with Enterprise, not with Trial, Lite, Pro or Advanced. If two people on your side make and review videos, that shapes which plan you can pick.
What QuQi does instead
These jobs sit with QuQi’s teammates, who spend one shared balance of credits and work on a calendar.
Takes your request and your website, then returns a finished film of 5 to 90 seconds with narration, music, stock clips or your shop’s products. It can cast an AI presenter with lip sync when the brief needs a face.
Writes one post a day for every connected channel, with a picture or carousel made to go with it, and sends a finished video when you ask in the chat or pick it in the library.
Chooses a keyword with a real chance of ranking, researches the results and publishes the article to your blog on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost or Notion, twice a week by default.
Checks every week whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews mention your business, and suggests content for the answers you are missing from.
D-ID and QuQi, side by side
QuQi’s column is for a paid plan. The free plan audits and analyses the website, and publishing starts on a paid plan.
D-ID’s details were checked on October 18, 2026 on its own pages: d-id.com/pricing/studio, d-id.com/creative-reality-studio, d-id.com/ai-agents, d-id.com/integrations, docs.d-id.com/docs/quickstart . When D-ID is the better pick
QuQi is not the answer to everything D-ID does. Stay with it, or use both, if this sounds like you.
- You want a presenter that talks back: a live avatar with your own LLM, knowledge base and tools, on your site or in your own cloud.
- You want a deck that presents itself and answers questions, or training that fits Articulate, iSpring, Moodle or TalentLMS.
- You want a low-cost way to start, plus developer tools such as an API, an Agents SDK and an MCP server for building avatars into your own product.
Moving from D-ID to QuQi
- 01
Keep the clips you have
Export any finished D-ID video as a file and add it in QuQi’s chat or library. Pick the channels and the time, write the caption, and the crew sends it when that time arrives.
- 02
Set the brand up once
Add your website and the crew reads your colours, logo and wording. Connect your shop or a product feed if you sell things, and add your social accounts. After that a short brief in the chat is enough.
- 03
Run both for a month
Keep D-ID for the videos where a presenter or a live avatar earns its place, and let the crew take the weekly short, the social posts and the site checks. At the end of the month, decide which videos you still make by hand.

D-ID alternative: common questions
Is there a free D-ID alternative?
QuQi’s free plan audits and analyses your website, which shows you what the crew finds before you spend anything. Writing, publishing and video start on a paid plan. D-ID’s own way in is a 14-day trial with a watermark on the output, then the Lite plan, which is for personal use.
Can D-ID post videos to TikTok or Instagram?
D-ID’s pages show no posting or scheduling feature. It makes the video as an MP4, and its integrations page talks about using its presenters on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo and Medium, with the upload left to you. QuQi posts to nine channels: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, X and Google Business.
Can QuQi make a talking avatar or a live avatar?
Video Producer casts AI presenters from a description and lines their lips up with the voice. It cannot use your own face as a presenter yet, and QuQi makes films, not a live avatar that talks with visitors. For a presenter that answers questions on your site, D-ID is made for that job.
Can QuQi translate an existing video?
Not in the same way. Video Producer makes new films and voices them in your website’s language, or another one you name. For a video you already have, with voice cloning and lip sync, use D-ID’s Video Translate.
Can I use D-ID and QuQi together?
Yes. Render your talking-head clips in D-ID, add the files to QuQi and choose where and when each one goes out. The crew keeps writing and posting around them, so the clips sit in a calendar, not a download folder. D-ID’s Lite plan is for personal use only, so post business videos from Pro or above.
