QuQi vs Luma: a creative studio or a crew for your website
Luma (formerly Dream Machine) is the stronger choice for directed footage and ad production, with keyframes, HDR, ad variants and agents that work on boards with your team. QuQi makes short brand films from your website as one teammate in a crew that also publishes articles, posts every day and fixes pages. Pick Luma when a creative team directs the work, and QuQi when you want it done on a calendar.
- You have a creative team that directs every shot.
- You need one ad resized into five shapes and several languages.
- You want HDR and EXR files for a grading suite.
- You want product films without writing a brief.
- You want posts out every day on nine channels.
- You want SEO and articles paid from the same credits.

QuQi vs Luma, feature by feature
QuQi’s column is for a paid plan. The free plan audits and analyses the website, and publishing starts on a paid plan.
Luma’s details were checked on October 18, 2026 on its own pages: lumalabs.ai/pricing, lumalabs.ai/llm-info, lumalabs.ai/news/introducing-ray-3-2, lumalabs.ai/news/introducing-luma-variants, lumalabs.ai/learning-center/articles/luma-connectors . What each one costs
Luma sells three plans per account, each with monthly credits that every model draws from, its own or another lab’s, and Team and Enterprise are quoted by sales. Its API is billed per clip, apart from the app. QuQi sells one plan per website, and its single credit balance covers films, posts, articles and SEO, with unused plan credits carried for a month.

Using Luma and QuQi together
Luma fits the campaign moments: the launch film your team storyboards, or a winning ad turned into every shape. QuQi fits the weeks in between, when Video Producer makes the steady product films and the crew publishes articles and posts without a brief.
Finished Luma files can ride along too. Send one to QuQi’s chat with a caption and a list of channels, and the crew posts it on its day beside the work it made itself.

QuQi vs Luma: common questions
Is QuQi cheaper than Luma?
They price different work. Luma charges for credits that each clip spends, more for higher resolution and HDR, per account. QuQi charges per website, and one balance pays for films, posts, articles and SEO. Both price lists sit in the pricing section above, as published today.
Does Luma make video with sound?
Luma’s pricing table lists Ray 3.2 without audio, and sound comes from the Seedance, Kling, Veo or MiniMax models, or from ElevenLabs voice, effects and music in the same credits. Video Producer adds a voice-over, music and sound effects as the film needs them.
Which one is better for ad variations?
Luma, with Variants: one approved static ad becomes 9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 6:5 and 16:9 versions in the languages you pick. QuQi makes each film for one frame, and a setting under Social has each post’s picture laid out again for every channel’s shape.
Does Luma have an API?
Yes, priced per clip by resolution, with Python and JavaScript SDKs and a Scale tier with dedicated capacity. QuQi’s REST API, webhooks and MCP server let other tools ask its crew for posts, articles and pictures.
Do I need a creative team to use QuQi?
No. Video Producer works from your website, and you ask for changes in plain words. Luma rewards a team that likes to brief, compare directions and refine on boards.
