A Hootsuite alternative where the posts arrive already made
Hootsuite gives a social team one suite for publishing, a shared inbox, listening and reports, with its Wisdom agent drafting along the way. QuQi covers the part before the calendar: Social Copywriter drafts a daily post, rewords it for every channel you connect, pairs it with a picture in your brand and publishes it.
Why people look for an alternative to Hootsuite
Most Hootsuite alternatives articles start from one of three needs, and the plans page itself shows two of them.
Every person is a seat
Hootsuite prices each plan per user, and the rates on its plans page are billed yearly. Approvals start on Advanced, so a two-person team that wants a review step buys two seats on that plan. Small businesses that only need posts out each week look for pricing that does not grow with every person.
The calendar still needs filling
Wisdom drafts and recommends, and a person reviews, approves and publishes. The pictures come from its AI images or from a Canva or Adobe Express template, so somebody still sits down each week to make the posts.
Four products to learn
Social OS splits the work across Perch, Nest, Lumen and Parliament. For one owner who wants posts out and little else, that is a lot of screens, and alternatives articles mention the learning curve. There is no free plan, so the 14-day trial is the time you get to learn it.
What QuQi does instead
QuQi gives those jobs to teammates who do the making as well as the posting.
Drafts one post a day from your social strategy, gives each connected channel its own version and opening line, and publishes it each day unless you want posts held for your OK.
Every Friday it builds a short vertical video, voiced and scored, around what you sell, and you post it from the library or the chat.
Writes an SEO article twice a week and publishes it to your CMS, so the website grows along with your channels.
Audits the website every Monday against 56 checks, and hands Page Optimizer the titles, descriptions and schema to fix.
Hootsuite and QuQi, side by side
QuQi’s column is for a paid plan. The free plan audits and analyses the website, and publishing starts on a paid plan.
Hootsuite’s details were checked on October 18, 2026 on its own pages: hootsuite.com/plans, hootsuite.com/perch, hootsuite.com/wisdom-ai, hootsuite.com/platform/integrations, hootsuite.com/whats-new . Plans and features change, so check there before you buy. Hootsuite is a trademark of its owner; QuQi is not affiliated with it.
When Hootsuite is the better pick
QuQi is not the answer to everything Hootsuite does. Stay with it, or use both, if this sounds like you.
- Your team answers comments and messages all day and needs routing, saved replies, automations and CSAT surveys.
- You listen to the wider conversation about your brand, up to Talkwalker’s data in 187 languages on Enterprise.
- You run paid and organic posts in one place, boost the posts that do well, and have staff share company posts through Parliament.
Moving from Hootsuite to QuQi
- 01
Your channels and your house rules
Connect the same accounts to QuQi once. It reads your website when you add it and builds a brand kit with your colours, logo and the words you use and avoid. Paste the rules your team follows into Social Copywriter’s Instructions box.
- 02
Decide what waits for you
A new crew posts on its own. Turn the Social posts switch off and each post waits in the chat for your OK, with a note by email, and on Telegram or WhatsApp if that is where you last wrote.
- 03
Keep the inbox where it is
Run both for a few weeks: QuQi writes and posts, and your team keeps answering comments and messages in Hootsuite. Then decide how many seats you still need.

Hootsuite alternative: common questions
Is there a free Hootsuite alternative?
Hootsuite has no free plan, only a 14-day trial. QuQi has a free plan that audits and analyses your website, and writing and posting start on a paid plan. If all you need is a free scheduler for a few accounts, Buffer’s free plan covers 3 channels.
What happened to OwlyWriter AI?
Hootsuite folded OwlyWriter AI, OwlyGPT and Yeti into Wisdom, the AI agent it introduced when it rebuilt as Social OS in June 2026. Wisdom drafts posts and suggests what to do, and people review and approve. QuQi’s Social Copywriter writes and posts on its own schedule, unless you set posts to wait for you.
Can QuQi replace Hootsuite’s inbox and listening?
No. QuQi has no social inbox, does not reply to comments or messages, and does not listen to social conversations or report on posts. If your team lives in those, keep Hootsuite for them and let QuQi make the posts.
Which channels does QuQi post to?
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, X and Google Business, plus YouTube for videos. Hootsuite also covers Bluesky, and WhatsApp in its inbox.
Does QuQi work for an agency with many clients?
Each client website gets its own crew, its own plan and its own bill, all under one account, and team members get owner, admin, editor or viewer roles. Agency branding, with your name and logo, is something QuQi turns on for the account.
