A Gemini Spark alternative that takes on your website’s marketing
Gemini Spark, now Tasks in Gemini, is Google’s personal agent: it runs jobs in the cloud on a schedule or when an email arrives, and works across Gmail, Calendar, Docs and Chrome. QuQi has one job, your website’s marketing, and arrives with it set up: a weekly audit, page fixes, articles published to your CMS and daily posts with a picture each.
Why people look for an alternative to Gemini Spark
Most Gemini Spark alternatives lists are written for people who want a personal assistant outside Google, or in more countries. For a business website, Google’s own help pages point to three needs.
Your country and your account type
Google’s help page names the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Nigeria as places where Tasks are missing, and work or school accounts cannot use it for now. For businesses, Google has announced a separate agent inside Gemini Enterprise.
Apps that edit, without a post button
Google’s Connected Apps table lists Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and Shopify, mostly for US accounts in English, and describes designs and content edits rather than publishing. WordPress, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok have no app there, and Google describes the Hootsuite app as drafting upcoming posts.
An experiment you supervise
Google calls tasks experimental and asks you to keep watch over them, and says a schedule that runs while you are offline may be one you cannot stop. Usage refreshes every 5 hours up to a weekly limit, and Google does not say how a task counts against it.
What QuQi does instead
QuQi’s crew takes the website side of that work, and each teammate already has its days on the calendar.
Picks a keyword your site can win, writes it with your brand kit and publishes it on Mondays and Thursdays to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Ghost or Notion.
Writes the day’s post for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and your other connected channels, makes its picture or carousel and sends it out at 10:00.
Crawls your site each Monday against 56 checks and hands Page Optimizer the titles, descriptions and schema to rewrite.
Asks Gemini, Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity your buyers’ questions every Wednesday, and shows when a rival is named in your place.
Gemini Spark and QuQi, side by side
QuQi’s column is for a paid plan. The free plan audits and analyses the website, and publishing starts on a paid plan.

When Gemini Spark is the better pick
QuQi is not the answer to everything Gemini Spark does. Stay with it, or use both, if this sounds like you.
- You live in Gmail, Calendar and Docs and want an agent that searches, drafts, labels and files there for you.
- You want jobs set off by an incoming email or a news topic as well as by the clock, running in the cloud with your laptop shut.
- You want the agent in the same Google AI plan as your storage and models, with skills you write as plain SKILL.md files.
Moving from Gemini Spark to QuQi
- 01
Carry over what your skills know
A SKILL.md file that describes your brand or your customers still has a use: its rules can go straight into Copywriter’s Instructions box, which every article brief reads. The colours, logo and words to avoid come from your website, read when you add it.
- 02
Hand the website over
Link the CMS and the social channels to QuQi once. Any Gemini schedule that drafts posts or article ideas can then be switched off, and the approval switches set whether articles, posts and page fixes go out alone or wait for you.
- 03
Keep Gemini for the inbox
Your Gmail monitors, calendar bookings and document chores can stay with Spark. After four weeks, count the articles, posts and fixes the crew put live and decide from there.

Gemini Spark alternative: common questions
Is there a free Gemini Spark alternative?
Spark needs a Google AI plan that includes Tasks: the free Gemini plan has skills but no tasks or schedules. QuQi’s free plan audits and analyses your website, and the crew begins writing and posting once the website moves to a paid plan.
Is Gemini Spark the same as Tasks in Gemini?
Yes. Google’s help page says the beta was renamed Task, found under a Chat and Task toggle beside the prompt box, and the plans page now calls it Tasks in Gemini. The goal, the schedule and the skill are still the three parts of each job.
Can Gemini Spark post to Instagram?
Google’s list of Connected Apps has no Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok or X app, and its Hootsuite app, for US accounts in English, drafts upcoming posts. In QuQi, Instagram is one of nine channels: Social Copywriter writes a version for it each day, with its own picture or carousel, alongside Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and the others.
Is Gemini Spark available in the UK or Europe?
Not in the UK, and not in the EEA or Switzerland: Google’s help page lists those, with Nigeria, among the regions without Tasks. Work or school accounts cannot use it yet either. QuQi needs no Google plan at all: it works from your website and the accounts you connect.
