Meet the crew
Every website gets a lead and eight teammates. Who they are, what each one is in charge of, and when each one works out of the box.
When you add a website, QuQi gives it a crew. The lead is QuQi itself: the one you talk to by default, with every tool. Beside it are eight teammates, each with one job, a colour and a few lines of responsibilities written in plain words.
Teammates work in batches. A batch is a slot on the calendar: at that time the teammate opens a chat of its own, reads its responsibilities and the batch’s brief, decides what to make, and makes it. You can open that chat and watch.
The eight teammates
The middle column is each teammate’s starting responsibilities, which you can rewrite. The last column is the calendar it starts with, in your website’s time zone.
The lead
A new chat is with QuQi unless you pick a teammate. The lead has every tool, so it can answer a question about your site, start an audit, put a batch on the calendar, change a teammate, or hand the work to the teammate whose job it is. It welcomes you when you add a website and tells you what the crew found once the first work is done. See QuQi, the lead.
Nobody plans a month ahead
The calendar says who works and when, not what gets made. When a batch comes round, the teammate reads its responsibilities, looks at what it made in earlier batches so it does not repeat itself, and decides what this batch should produce. The brief on a batch is how you steer one batch without rewriting the teammate.
They work together
A teammate can see the rest of the crew and ask one of them for something outside its own job. The Social Copywriter asks the Image Designer for a picture; the SEO Auditor tells the Page Optimizer what to fix. The answer comes back to the chat that asked. See Chats and hand-offs.
What asks you first
Every teammate has an Auto-approve switch. With it off, anything that goes out in public or changes your live site waits in that teammate’s chat for your Approve or Reject. With it on, the teammate does it on its own.
A new crew starts with auto-approve on for the Copywriter, the Social Copywriter and the Link Exchange, so articles, posts and link trades go out without waiting for you. It starts off for the rest, which in practice means the Page Optimizer asks before it changes your pages. Audits, AI answer checks, pictures and videos never need an answer. See Approvals and auto-approve.
What your plan opens
The SEO Auditor works on every website, free included. The others make or publish things, so they need what your plan gives them: articles for the Copywriter, social posts for the Social Copywriter, AI credits for the Image Designer and the Video Producer, and an active subscription for AI Visibility and the Link Exchange. Applying the Page Optimizer’s fixes needs Scale or Authority. When your plan does not cover a teammate, its batches are skipped rather than started. See Plans.
