You hit a limit

Which of the four meters ran out, what the message is telling you, when the count starts again, and the cheapest way past it.

4 min de lecture All plans

Four things are counted, all quoted per month: articles, social posts, AI credits and backlink credits. Planning, auditing, research and strategy are not counted at all, so a limit never stops you looking at your own site.

COMMENCEZ ICI Open the plan chip in the top bar. It shows your plan and how many articles are left, and opening it gives you every allowance, how many purchased credits you are holding, and the date the count resets.

Read the message

The terminal shows one line beginning Run failed — and then the reason. Three reasons are about limits. A fourth is never a terminal line at all — it is the reason written on the agent’s card.

THE MESSAGE SAYSWHAT IT MEANSTHE WAY PAST IT
needs a plan The website is on the free plan, where generation is not included. Start the 7-day free trial under Billing.
unlocks once your subscription is active You are on the trial, which covers generation only. Activate the subscription.
limit reached … resets That meter is spent for this window. The number used and the reset date are in the line. Wait for the reset, upgrade, or ask for a boost.
You’ve used this month’s AI credits On the agent’s card, not in the terminal. Videos and images share one pool and it is empty. In the terminal the same thing reads AI credits limit reached … resets. Buy a credit pack — purchased credits never expire.

Get moving again

1
Find out which meter it is
The line names it. The Billing page shows a bar per meter reading how many are left and the date they reset.
2
Decide whether to wait
The reset date is in the message. If it is a day or two away, waiting costs nothing.
3
Top up, or raise the plan
If it is the Studio you keep hitting, buy a credit pack. If it is the calendar — more articles a month, more social posts a month — raise the plan instead.
4
Ask support for a boost if this month is unusual
Your limits can be raised permanently, or given a one-off boost for the current month that is added on top of the plan’s allowance.

When the count starts again

  • On Free, usage resets on the first of the calendar month.
  • On the trial, the whole trial is one window — the allowance does not reset partway through.
  • On a monthly subscription, it resets on your billing date.
  • On a yearly subscription, it still resets every month, on the day of the month you started.

Stretching what is left

One social post is one piece of copy for one channel, so a four-channel idea costs four. Dropping a channel from a post is the quickest way to make a month go further. Rewriting a post you already have is another run, so it costs another one.

A video is charged by the 8-second beat, so a shorter video costs less, and premium quality doubles the total. The cost is printed in the run’s first line before anything renders. An image is a quarter of a credit and a batch is rounded up to at least one, so asking for four at once is the efficient shape.

BON À SAVOIR A batch of social posts is trimmed, not refused. If the run would overrun your allowance, the terminal says how many posts are left this period and plans that many instead of stopping.

You were charged and it failed

If something is counted and then fails, the units come back automatically. An article that fails is marked Failed on the calendar with the reason attached. A video that fails after being charged has its credits released, and retrying a video you already paid for is not charged twice. An image batch that produces nothing costs nothing, and if two of four come out you pay for two.

In the video Studio, credits are only taken when the render starts — after you have read the script and approved the frames. A script or a set of frames you throw away costs nothing.

QuQi tells you before you get stuck

You are warned up front rather than halfway through. Ask for a video you cannot afford and the Studio says how many credits it needs and how many you hold, then offers a pack or a shorter, standard-quality video. The image composer shows what the batch will cost and how many credits are left, and links you to buy more when the batch costs more than you hold.

A limit is not the same as a lock

Running out is temporary and resets on a date you can read. Being locked is a different thing: publishing to your website, publishing to social channels and the backlink exchange all come with an active subscription, and no number of credits turns them on during a trial.
