Connect social channels
The nine networks QuQi posts to, how connecting works, and the one extra choice some of them ask for.
Nine networks can be connected: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest and Google Business. They all sit in the Social channels section of the Integrations page, and they all connect the same way.
How connecting works
What each channel takes
The calendar uses this when you pick channels for a post: a channel can only be chosen if it accepts the media you chose, and the chip’s tooltip says why when it cannot.
The extra choice some channels need
Signing in is not always the whole story. A few networks post to a specific place rather than to “you”, so QuQi asks which one after the connection is made.
- Facebook posts to a Page, so you pick which Page it should be.
- Pinterest Pins go onto a board, so you pick the board.
- LinkedIn can post to your profile, and optionally to a company page instead.
- Instagram cannot publish a post with no picture at all — which is why the Social Copywriter attaches one image per post by default.
Keeping them connected
If a post is refused because the channel is connected through the old connector, reconnecting from the Integrations page is one click and posts start going out again.
Disconnecting is per channel. Disconnecting the last social channel on a website also releases that website’s profile at the publishing partner.
Once a channel is connected
- The Social Copywriter lights a channel’s mark only when that account is actually connected.
- Which channels get written for is decided once, on the Social Planner — the writer does not ask again per post.
- A post goes out from the calendar’s Publish button, or on its own from the writer when autopilot is set to publish.
- One channel refusing at publish time does not stop the others going out.
- A post that failed shows Retry publish instead of Publish now, with the reason on it.
