An agent did not run
Why nothing happened this morning, why some agents have no Run button at all, and how to read the line the terminal leaves behind.
It is not due yet
- The first run is scheduled a full cadence from the moment you save, not straight away. Switch on a daily lane today and its first run is tomorrow morning.
- Every scheduled run is set for 9:00 in your website’s own timezone, so nothing lands in the middle of your night. The zone comes from your Business Details, falling back to your country’s.
- QuQi looks for due work once an hour, so a lane starts within an hour of falling due rather than on the second.
- Saving an unrelated setting on a lane that is already running does not move its next run time.
Changing the mode itself does take effect at once. Switch autopilot off and the next scheduled run reads the setting and cancels itself, rather than finishing the cycle first.
The agent has no Run button
Some agents cannot start from a bare click, because they need something handed to them. Their card shows an Open link to the screen where you choose one, instead of Run now. Press Run now on one anyway and it tells you so in a sentence rather than failing.
- The Copywriter needs a keyword or a calendar item.
- The Social Copywriter writes a post you or the planner chose.
- The Image Designer needs a brief — the Studio is where you write one.
- The Video Producer needs a brief or a chosen subject, and deliberately has no autopilot: videos cannot be planned onto a calendar yet.
- The Link Exchange has no Run button on purpose. It runs when an article is written, and again on the nightly check that hosted links are still live.
Make an agent run now
The run happened and found nothing to do
A run that completes without adding cards is not a failure. Several of these are deliberate.
- The Content Planner never plans a keyword that is already planned or already written.
- A second Social Planner run tops the week up instead of doubling it.
- Gap mining needs tracked competitors. With none, the run tells you to add some under Company → Competitors.
- Set Which channels to plan for to none and social planning is paused on purpose.
- A check you switched off says so in the terminal instead of silently doing nothing.
The run failed
Read the line after Run failed —. It is the same plain words on every screen.
An audit that stalls does not spin forever: a crawl that has not reported back within twelve minutes is failed with a reason rather than left hanging. A run that cannot start does not retry in a loop either — its clock simply moves on to the next cycle, so a bad morning does not block the next one.
The card is locked
An agent your plan does not include still shows its card, with the reason in plain text and an upgrade link, rather than disappearing. Five do that: the Copywriter, the Image Designer, the Video Producer, the Social Copywriter and the Link Exchange. The website analyzer, the SEO audit, the strategies and both planners run on the free plan.
The Publisher is gated too but has no card to lock — it works behind the Social Copywriter and has no Run button, no settings page and no tile of its own. If publishing is not on your plan you will see that on the Social Copywriter’s card, and again at the moment a post tries to go out. Its counts, including posts that failed to publish, ride on the Social Copywriter’s card as well.
A calendar card was never written
Planned posts and planned articles are not written on the agent’s own clock — they are written from the calendar. Each hourly check picks up the ones whose slot falls within the next 48 hours. A card two weeks out is not late; it has simply not come up yet.
