How to publish articles to your store blog, what a store connection adds beyond articles, and how to check it worked.

Shopify connects in two ways, like WordPress. The Shopify Blog card publishes articles to your store’s blog. The QuQi Shopify app connects your store from the Shopify side. Either one takes your single publishing slot.

The Shopify Blog card needs an Admin API access token with the
write_content scope, created in your own Shopify admin. QuQi never asks for your Shopify login.
Connect the store blog

Open Integrations
Find Shopify Blog under Publishing.

Enter your store domain
The
.myshopify.com address of the store.

Paste the Admin API access token
It needs the
write_content scope, or articles cannot be created.

Save
QuQi checks the token before storing it, and shows Shopify’s own reason if it is refused.

Pick which blog, if you are asked
A store holding more than one blog keeps the drawer open afterwards so you can choose where articles post. A store with a single blog is wired up for you and never asks.
Or connect through the QuQi Shopify app
The app connects your store from inside Shopify. Like the WordPress plugin, it signs in with a website API key created in QuQi under Settings → API Keys, and a destination connected this way is labelled as such on the Integrations page. QuQi then publishes back through the app.

Shopify is the one integration that does more than publish articles.

Products as picture elements
Attach a product in the Studio and the picture is made from its real photographs rather than an invented product. A product shot will not run without one attached, and the product list needs the QuQi app installed on your store.

Product UGC video
A video style built around one of your products. It needs the QuQi app installed on your store, and falls back to plain UGC without it.

Look at the Integrations page
The connection is only saved once the token has been proven to work, so a Shopify Blog card showing as connected is a working one.

Publish one article by hand
Press Publish on a written article on the calendar, then open your store blog and read it.

Try a product shot, if you installed the QuQi app
Your products reach the Studio through the app, not through the Shopify Blog card — with only the card connected the product list comes back empty. In Studio → Photos, attach one of your products as an element and generate.
