Publisher
Takes finished posts to your channels, and refuses the ones that would fail — with a reason you can act on.
What it does
The Publisher is a system agent and is never pressed by hand. The writer hands it finished posts, and it sends them. A post scheduled for a time in the future goes out at that exact time — the publishing clock runs every minute.
Most of its work is refusing to do the wrong thing. A post with no copy yet is not sent; it goes back to planned with the reason. A channel that is not connected is named, and you are pointed at the Integrations page rather than left with silence. A post whose media does not suit the channel fails early with a plain reason — a text-only post sent to a channel that needs a photo, for example.
If an earlier attempt lost track of an upload, the Publisher checks that request before sending again, so nothing is posted twice.
A post that fails is marked failed with the reason on it, never left stuck. On the calendar its button becomes Retry publish.
Skills
The Publisher has no skills of its own. The per-channel switch that decides whether a finished draft goes out without you — Publish on its own — lives on the Social Copywriter’s channel cards.
Settings
It has no settings page. Everything that shapes what it sends is set on the Social Planner (which channels a post goes to) and the Social Copywriter (whether each channel publishes on its own).
