Connect social channels

The nine networks QuQi posts to, how connecting works, and the one extra choice some of them ask for.

5 Min. Lesezeit Paid plans

Nine networks can be connected: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest and Google Business. They all sit in the Social channels section of the Integrations page, and they all connect the same way.

HIER STARTEN Connecting a social channel needs an active paid subscription for that website — a free website or one on a trial is asked to subscribe first. Until a channel is connected, the Social Copywriter’s daily batch is skipped.

How connecting works

1
Press Set up on the channel
From Integrations, under Social channels.
2
Authorise on the network’s own screen
You sign in with the network, never with QuQi. QuQi never asks you for the network’s password, and the access is held by QuQi’s publishing partner rather than pasted into QuQi.
3
Land back on the Integrations page
The channel now shows as connected.
4
Pick a page or board if the network asks for one
Facebook needs a Page. Pinterest needs a board. LinkedIn lets you pick a company page if you want one.
VORSICHT A channel that is connected but has no page or board picked cannot publish. Publishing stops and says that channel needs a Page, rather than telling you to connect it all over again.

What each channel takes

A post only goes to the channels that accept what it carries: a text-only post cannot go to Instagram, TikTok or Pinterest, and only a video goes to YouTube.

CHANNELWHAT QUQI POSTS THEREACCEPTS
Instagram Photos, carousels and Reels. Photo or video
Facebook Posts, photos and Reels on your Facebook Page. Photo, video or text
TikTok Videos and photo posts. Photo or video
YouTube Shorts and videos made in the Studio. Video only
LinkedIn Posts, images and video, to your profile or a company page. Photo, video or text
X Posts, images and video. Photo, video or text
Threads Posts, images and video. Photo, video or text
Pinterest Image and video Pins to a board of yours. Photo or video
Google Business Updates with photos or video on your Google Business Profile. Photo, video or text

The extra choice some channels need

Signing in is not always the whole story. A few networks post to a specific place rather than to “you”, so QuQi asks which one after the connection is made.

  • Facebook posts to a Page, so you pick which Page it should be.
  • Pinterest Pins go onto a board, so you pick the board.
  • LinkedIn can post to your profile, and optionally to a company page instead.
  • Instagram cannot publish a post with no picture at all — which is why the Social Copywriter asks for a picture for every post.

Keeping them connected

If a post is refused because the channel is connected through the old connector, reconnecting from the Integrations page is one click and posts start going out again.

Disconnecting is per channel. Disconnecting the last social channel on a website also releases that website’s profile at the publishing partner.

GUT ZU WISSEN A channel that is not ready yet still sits in your list — dimmed, marked Soon, and reading “Not available yet” where the Set up button would be.

Once a channel is connected

  • The Social Copywriter writes each day’s post for every connected channel, each in that network’s own shape.
  • A post goes out on its own when the Social Copywriter’s auto-approve is on, or when you press Approve in its chat when it is off.
  • One channel refusing at publish time does not stop the others going out, and the reason is shown where the post was approved.
