Set up a teammate

Every field a teammate has, what each one changes, how to switch one off or remove it, and how to add a teammate of your own.

5 min de leitura All plans

A teammate is one short card. It says who the teammate is, what it is in charge of, how it should work, which tools it may use, and whether it asks you first. There is no long settings page behind it: how articles are written, how the site is crawled and how you take part in the backlink exchange belong to the website, under Website settings.

COMECE AQUI The one field worth editing on day one is Responsibilities. Each time a teammate works, it starts from what it says there. Write it the way you would brief a new hire.

Opening a teammate

Press Agent in the menu. The crew sits at the top of the chat sidebar as a row of faces. Click one to open that teammate: its tasks, what it waits on you for, its batches on the calendar, and whether it publishes on its own or asks you first. Edit opens its card.

Every field

FIELDWHAT IT CHANGESWORTH KNOWING
Name What the teammate is called everywhere: in the chat, on the calendar and in its approval boxes. Up to 60 characters.
Role The short line under the name. Up to 80 characters.
Colour The colour it wears on its tasks, in the chat and on the calendar. Each of the eight starts with its own. Thirteen to choose from.
Responsibilities What it is in charge of. Each time it works, it starts from this. Plain words. Two or three sentences is plenty.
Instructions What it should always do, and how: a tone, a phrase to avoid, a page to link to. Empty to start. They never override the rules on publishing, approvals or honesty.
Auto-approve On: it publishes and makes changes on its own. Off: it asks you first, in its chat. See Approvals and auto-approve.
On Off: it stays in your crew but does no work until you turn it back on. Its batches are skipped while it is off.
Every tool On: it may use every tool, including tools added later. Off: you tick the tools it may use. Each of the eight starts with the tools its job needs, not every tool.

Responsibilities and instructions

The two boxes do different jobs. Responsibilities say what the teammate is for: “Keep Instagram and LinkedIn active: one post a day, with a picture.” Instructions say how it should work: “Keep our posts warm and short. Never use emojis. Link to the pricing page when it fits.”

A batch adds a third layer, its own Brief, for that batch only. Put a standing rule in the teammate and a one-off request in the batch.

Tools

Tools are what a teammate can actually do: read the SEO issues, write an article, publish a post, apply a page fix, make a picture, put work on the calendar. With Every tool off they are listed in groups — look things up, do the work, content, pages, AI search and links, Studio, publish, calendar, website settings, crew — each with a tick box.

Every teammate can see the crew and ask a teammate for help, whatever you tick. Every teammate can also see the calendar and add, move or skip its batches.

BOM SABER Untick Publish articles or Publish social posts for a firmer stop than auto-approve: without the tool, the teammate cannot publish at all, even with your OK. You publish the work yourself, or ask the lead.

Switching a teammate off

Turn On off and the teammate stays in your crew, keeps its chats and keeps its batches on the calendar, but does no work. A batch that comes round while it is off is skipped. Switching it back on picks up at the next batch, not every one it missed.

Removing a teammate

Any teammate can be removed, the eight you started with included. It leaves your crew with its calendar batches. Its chats stay with you, and anything it made — articles, posts, pictures, videos — stays in QuQi.

ATENÇÃO Removing one of the eight takes its batches off the calendar for good. If you only want it to stop for a while, turn it off instead.

Adding your own teammate

1
Open the chat
Press Agent in the menu. The crew is the row of faces at the top of the sidebar.
2
Press Add an agent
The + at the end of the row. A card opens with a preview of the new face.
3
Give it a name and a role
Both are required. The first colour nobody on the crew wears yet is picked for you.
4
Write its responsibilities and instructions
What it is in charge of, and how it should work.
5
Choose its tools and whether it asks first
A new teammate starts with Every tool on and auto-approve off.
6
Add it
It joins the crew straight away. Put it on the calendar to give it batches, or start a chat with it.

A teammate you add works like the eight: it can be scheduled, asked, handed work and switched off. Your plan still applies to what it does — an article it writes counts against your articles like any other. You can also ask the lead in a chat to add, change or remove a teammate for you.

Who can change the crew

The website’s owner and admins can add, change and remove teammates. Editors work with the crew, and viewers can read its chats. See Team and roles.
