Connect WordPress

Two ways to connect a WordPress site, what QuQi does with it once connected, and how to tell that it worked.

QuQi publishes finished articles straight to WordPress. There are two ways in: connect the site from the Integrations page, or install the QuQi WordPress plugin and connect from the WordPress side. Either way it takes your one publishing slot.

COMECE AQUI You need a WordPress application password, not your login password. WordPress creates these for you in its own user profile screen, and you can revoke one there without changing anything else.

Connect it from QuQi

Open Integrations

Make sure you are on the right website, then find WordPress under Publishing.

Create an application password in WordPress

Do this in your WordPress user profile, and copy the password it shows you.

Fill in the three fields

Your site URL, your WordPress username, and the application password you just copied.

Save

QuQi tests the credentials before storing them. If WordPress refuses them, you see WordPress’s own reason and nothing is saved.

Or connect through the plugin

The plugin is called QuQi AI and it is on the WordPress plugin directory: search for it under Plugins → Add New in your own admin, or read it first at wordpress.org/plugins/quqi-ai. It needs WordPress 5.8 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.

It connects your site from inside WordPress instead of from QuQi. It signs in with a website API key that you create in QuQi under Settings → API Keys. A key belongs to one website and only ever reaches that website’s data.

When a destination was connected this way, the Integrations page labels it as connected through the plugin, and QuQi publishes back through the plugin.

BOM SABER An API key is shown once, at the moment you create it, and cannot be read back afterwards — only its first characters appear in the list. Only an owner or admin can create or revoke one, and revoking stops it working on the very next request.

A WordPress.com site is a different card

A site hosted on WordPress.com connects with your site address and an access token created through WordPress.com’s developer apps, not with an application password. It is its own card in the Publishing list and, like every publishing destination, it holds the single slot on its own.

What QuQi does once it is connected

A written article can be published from its card on the calendar, which pushes it to your site.
On autopilot, an article is only pushed to your live site when the mode is Publish it. Draft and Ask me never publish, whatever the Copywriter’s auto-publish toggle says.
If publishing fails, the article is kept and the failure is recorded — the writing is never lost.
If auto-publish is on and nothing is connected, the article is saved as a draft and QuQi tells you that is what happened.

Checking it worked

Look at the Integrations page

WordPress shows as connected, and the other publishing cards drop their Set up button for an “in use” note.

Publish one article by hand

Open a written article on the calendar and press Publish.

Open the post in WordPress

Read it there before you let autopilot publish on its own.

ATENÇÃO Publishing to your site needs a plan that includes CMS publishing. During the trial you can generate articles but not publish them — the attempt tells you it unlocks once your subscription is active.
