Connect a site

Record a site as the place your articles publish to.

2 min read All plans
POST /api/v1/platform/connect

What the QuQi plugin and app call when somebody presses Connect. Records the site as your publishing destination and answers with the brand it was matched to.

site_url string REQUIRED
The address of the site being connected. Must be a URL, up to 255 characters.
platform string REQUIRED
What the site runs on. Up to 32 characters.
site_name string OPTIONAL
A readable name for the site. Up to 255 characters.
CAREFUL Articles publish to exactly one destination. Sending wordpress or shopify claims that slot, so connecting is refused while another publishing destination is set up. Any other platform name skips the check entirely — it connects alongside an existing destination and does not claim the slot itself.

If the website already publishes its articles somewhere else, connect fails with 409 and names the destination to disconnect first. Show that message as it is — it tells the person exactly where to go.
