# Shipping and delivery copy for every touchpoint

> Use when delivery information is contradicting itself across the product page, basket and checkout.

## Fill in before running

- `{{BRAND_NAME}}`
- `{{DELIVERY_MATRIX}}`
- `{{DESTINATIONS}}`
- `{{DUTIES_HANDLING}}`
- `{{FAILURE_CASES}}`
- `{{LIKE_THIS}}`

## Prompt

```
Write consistent delivery copy for {{BRAND_NAME}} across all touchpoints.
Actual delivery options, costs, cut off times and carriers:
{{DELIVERY_MATRIX}}
Destinations served and excluded: {{DESTINATIONS}}
Duties and taxes handling: {{DUTIES_HANDLING}}
Known failure cases: {{FAILURE_CASES}}
Produce copy for each touchpoint, labelled:
1. Product page line, under 20 words, dynamic where needed - mark dynamic parts as {{LIKE_THIS}}.
2. Basket summary line.
3. Checkout option labels and helper text for each option in the matrix.
4. Order confirmation paragraph.
5. Delay notification email, under 90 words.
6. Delivery FAQ, 5 questions, answers under 40 words.
Rules:
- Every time and cost must come from the matrix. Do not simplify a range into a single number.
- State cut off times with the timezone every time.
- Where duties may be charged on delivery, say so plainly at every touchpoint that mentions an international option.
- Do not promise a delivery date. Describe the window and what it depends on.
- No em dashes. Flag anything needing legal review with [CHECK].
```

## Getting a better result

- Build the matrix first. Most contradictory delivery copy comes from nobody having written the options down in one place.
- The duties line belongs on the product page, not just checkout - it is a top return reason on cross border orders.
- Version the output and date it. Delivery copy goes stale every peak season.
