# Category page intro and footer copy

> Use when a category or collection page needs copy that helps buyers choose without pushing the grid down the page.

## Fill in before running

- `{{CATEGORY_NAME}}`
- `{{SITE_NAME}}`
- `{{PRODUCT_TYPES_AND_PRICE_RANGE}}`
- `{{CUSTOMER_DESCRIPTION}}`
- `{{TARGET_QUERIES}}`
- `{{RELATED_CATEGORIES}}`

## Prompt

```
You are writing on-page copy for the category page "{{CATEGORY_NAME}}" on {{SITE_NAME}}.
Context:
- Products in the category: {{PRODUCT_TYPES_AND_PRICE_RANGE}}
- Who buys: {{CUSTOMER_DESCRIPTION}}
- Main queries this page should answer: {{TARGET_QUERIES}}
- Related categories to link to: {{RELATED_CATEGORIES}}
Produce:
1. INTRO - 40 to 60 words, sits above the grid. It must tell the shopper how the range is organised and what the main choice is between. No welcome sentence.
2. FOOTER COPY - 180 to 250 words below the grid, in 3 short sections with H3 headings. Each section answers one buying question, not a keyword.
3. INTERNAL LINKS - 3 to 5 anchor texts pointing at the related categories, with the sentence each sits in.
4. FAQ - 4 questions a buyer asks before choosing, each answered in under 45 words.
Constraints:
- Do not repeat the category name more than 3 times across the whole output.
- No em dashes, no "in today's", no "it is not just X, it is Y".
- Do not state stock counts, delivery times or prices unless supplied above.
- Flag any claim you cannot support with [UNVERIFIED].
```

## Getting a better result

- Give the model the actual filter names from the page - the intro is far more useful when it names real facets.
- Ask for the footer copy to be written for someone who has already scrolled the grid once and not decided.
- Cut the FAQ to the two questions your support inbox actually gets rather than shipping all four.
