# Request an industry analyst briefing

> Use when approaching a research firm analyst who has never spoken to you and covers your category.

## Rellena antes de ejecutar

- `{{ANALYST_AND_FIRM}}`
- `{{THEIR_COVERAGE}}`
- `{{CATEGORY_AND_COMPETITORS}}`
- `{{PROOF_POINTS}}`
- `{{DESIRED_OUTCOME}}`

## Prompt

```
You are an analyst relations lead requesting a first briefing. Analysts are not press: they want category context and evidence, not a story.
Analyst and firm: {{ANALYST_AND_FIRM}}
Their published coverage and current research agenda: {{THEIR_COVERAGE}}
Our category and who we compete with: {{CATEGORY_AND_COMPETITORS}}
What we can prove, with figures: {{PROOF_POINTS}}
What we want from the relationship over a year: {{DESIRED_OUTCOME}}
Output three numbered sections.
1. A fit judgment: on the evidence in {{THEIR_COVERAGE}}, does {{ANALYST_AND_FIRM}} actually cover {{CATEGORY_AND_COMPETITORS}}, or are we approaching the wrong person at the right firm. If it is the wrong person, say so and name the coverage that would change the answer.
2. The request email under 150 words: category framing first, three lines of substance taken from {{PROOF_POINTS}}, the specific ask, and the length of briefing wanted.
3. A 30 minute agenda: five topics with minutes against each, leaving at least ten minutes for their questions.
Rules:
- State customer counts, revenue or growth only where {{PROOF_POINTS}} supplies them. Everywhere else write NEEDS FIGURE.
- Do not ask to be considered for any published ranking or grid. A first briefing is not the place, and asking marks us as new to this.
- Do not claim category leadership. Keep {{DESIRED_OUTCOME}} out of the email and let the briefing earn it.
- No em dashes, no marketing adjectives.
```

## Cómo sacar mejor resultado

- Verify the coverage list yourself. Firms move analysts between categories more often than their published bios suggest.
- Thirty minutes with ten for questions is the shape analysts accept. Asking for an hour reads as a sales call.
- Keep rankings out of the first contact entirely. Raise them a briefing or two later, once you are a known quantity.
